Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as an Operations Finance Supervisor

As a Operations Finance Supervisor at Lewis Services, you’ll:

 

Reporting to the VP Finance & Accounting, you’ll design and maintain critical cost accounting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analytics functions that support operational decision-making and business development. You’ll partner closely with Field Operations, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis to identify profitability drivers, understand the true cost to serve, and prompt desired behaviors to enhance profitability.Develop and maintain standard costing, job costing, and cost accounting processes to support planning, forecasting, and operational controls.

  • Lead weekly forecasting and production analysis, including review of overhead coverage and operational cost drivers. Prepare weekly operational productivity and profitability reporting versus established targets.
  • Conduct monthly budget-to-actual variance reviews and communicate key financial trends to stakeholders with clear commentary and follow-up actions.
  • Partner with field operations to gather reporting inputs, explain variances, uncover answers, and develop actionable insights.
  • Perform customer profitability, total cost-to-serve, and business modeling analysis to support pricing and bidding.
  • Create, develop, prototype, and test dashboards and internal reporting tools.
  • Identify, recommend, and lead improvements to ERP, operational, and reporting systems to enhance data collection and reporting.
  • Lead and support special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Operate initially with no immediate direct reports, with the potential to take on direct reports as the role expands with the business.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, or operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of project and cost accounting methodologies.
  • Ability to serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, manage expectations, and deliver results that align with company goals.
  • Ability to understand the business operating model and how processes align with company objectives, while managing end-to-end workstreams with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines as priorities change.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, propose data-based solutions, and take tactical ownership of transformation plans.
  • Clear, concise, tactful, and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn emerging software systems and independently configure and test systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook, and relevant business systems.


Preferred:

  • MBA.
  • Experience in a lead technical role.


Physical Demands

Ability to:

  • Regularly stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time, reach, and perform repetitive computing tasks.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel occasionally by ground and/or air transportation, including overnight stays.

Como Supervisor/a de Finanzas de Operaciones en Lewis Services:

 

Reportando al Vicepresidente de Finanzas y Contabilidad, diseñarás y mantendrás funciones clave de contabilidad de costos, pronósticos, informes financieros y análisis que respaldan la toma de decisiones operativas y el desarrollo del negocio. Trabajarás estrechamente con Operaciones de Campo, Contabilidad y Planificación y Análisis Financiero para identificar los factores que impulsan la rentabilidad, comprender el costo real de prestar el servicio y fomentar comportamientos que mejoren la rentabilidad.

Lo que aportas:
